This is a two-toned peacock katydid, so named for its startle display which is a response to a perceived threat in which the wings are opened to reveal two false eye spots. In repose, as seen in this photo, the katydid appears to be mimicking a dead or diseased leaf. Order Orthoptera and family Tettigoniidae.
