Most phasmids, which are known as walking sticks, are indeed similar to straight sticks. The five T. laciniatus shown in this composite are more like rubber bands than sticks. In our eight years of searching for exotic insects, we have found this species only two times. Therefore, I assume that they are very rare. Photographed at an elevation of 1700 meters in the Farallones Mountains outside of Cali, Colombia. Identified by Bruno Kneubuhler.
